Customs & Duties
1. Do I need to pay import duties or Tax (VAT)?
Many countries charge two kinds of tax when you import from overseas: sales tax (VAT) and import duties. Most countries allow up to a certain value of goods into the country without any additional duties and taxes.
Generally, the payable amount of tax is based on the declared value of
the goods (and occasionally the shipping), Conversely, many countries do not
charge any tax on certain types of goods, or on shipments that are small enough.
We cannot inform you about the Customs duty rate and whether Tax (VAT)will
be levied or not in advance. You can check the import duty and tax (VAT) from
your local custom website for more details.
2. Does VerySelection.com order price include import duties
or Tax (VAT)?
The order price of products does not include import duties or Tax (VAT).
We do not collect payment for any import taxes or duties on our website, nor
are they included in the product price or shipping cost. All charges associated
with import tax and duties are solely the recipient’s responsibilities.
3. What Import duties or Taxes (VAT) do I need to pay?
The import duties or Tax (VAT) is related to the value of your goods,
especially the packet Contents Affect Tax.
4. How do VerySelection.com declare the value of your goods?
There is a "Threshold"value for Tax (VAT), but this value
varies from country to country. You can contact your local custom office to check the
import duties or tax (VAT) for the goods you are going to import. We usually to
recommend to declare the value of the goods 10% to 40% of the real value if you
want to do “under-declaring”.
If you want to lower down the possible custom duties and tax (VAT) in
your country, it is better to leave a message when checkout to provide your
expected declare value on the invoice. We will check whether this is suitable
for your order and the destination country. Please understand that
VerySelection.com will not take the responsibility if the packages checked as
the "under-declaring" based on customer requirement, we will stand
with our customer side to provide valid shipment proof to do custom declaration.
For order small quantity or light weight package, we suggest to declare "samples"
or "Gifts" on the content of shipment invoice, so you don't need to
pay import duties or Tax (VAT) when the package arrive at your site.
5. Personal Tax ID or Corporate Tax number
When you confirm that the product you are buying is taxable in your
country, please fill in your Tax ID or VAT number when making payment. Your
local customs will charge customs duties based on it, so you are responsible
for confirming that it is correct. If you do not have a Tax ID or VAT number,
please fill in your ID number or Passport Number. In most countries, this has
the same effect as a Tax ID.
